Return from an amazing weekend

I just came home from one of the biggest AIESEC conferences in Germany, the NKK 2008 with the motto “Shift into the next gear”. It is meant for all EB members of the 54 LCs in Germany to help them accomplish their tasks in the next year, to do some networking nationally and internationally and support the EB members with the knowledge they need to do their job properly over the next year.

Besides workshops on softskills like time management, team management, delegation of tasks they had so called ”tracks”, where the different VPs would gather together according to their department and speak about important matters for @Germany and the local work.

The old MC was officially ejected and the new one took up work. They seem to be a reeaallllyy competent and nice team, especially my lovely MCVP TM Rebecca! [Damn my name memory]

I guess all in all there were about 400 people present, included the international guests from Serbia,
Poland, Finland, Venezuela, India, UK!

It was simply an amazing experience! I wish even more now i was able to take the position of VPTM this year :( Considering the LC really needs one and nobody else feels taking that job right now thats a real shame :( But due to my upcoming internship in JAPAN starting in August, having only half a year as VP does not really pay off after the initial learning phase.

I so hope i can apply for that position during my internship in Japan and help out Karlsruhe next year.

I will try to find as much material (photos, youtube videos) about NKK 2008 in the following days and collect them here! I hope some people upload their pictures and so on fast (and google finds it) ;-)

Now i need some sleep, I didn’t get much since leaving on thursday. More updates on the NKK coming! Keep tuned!

P.S.: For all those that wonder what all the abbreviations and gibberish means i will have a page with AIESEC abbreviatens and the like.

Things are getting wild in the land of the rising sun

Filed under: crazy world, japan — maxinjapan @ 8:25 pm

My two favourite Japan-Blogs had some surprising news recently.
Without further ado i will shamelessly link to them:

This is just one further step for Kitty towards world domination. It is probably just a matter of time until we get Kitty on our notes in Germany. Prepare for cuteness-attack!

I guess i have to start drinking more beer before August :-)

In unrelated news all of my visa documents have been sent to Japan and hopefully reach their destination this week. So much for “express” mail. According to the person in the post office the letter should have been in Japan after 2 days .

Actually I think I will start counting days until I leave Germany. Just a sudden thought ^_^ Can’t wait to get out of the plane in Nagoya *dreams off*

Ah, and if you know where to find cheap flights from Germany to Nagoya please help me out and leave a comment.
