Goodbye Japan

I am leaving Japan tomorrow, January 31st at 11:00 o’clock local time. So far everything looks good, suitcases are packed, papers are prepared, goodbye parties were (and are going be) held, the date on my flight ticket is correct and the Lufthansa strike seems to not be  of concern this time.

Later today I am going to close my japanese bank account. Then its back home to my host family for about 1,5 hours. Say goodbye, take all my luggage and carry it to Ateam, my company.
We will have a last company party together. After that there will be a private farewell party with friends from ATeam. After that I (we if somebody joins me) will go to Karaoke until the morning.
After Karaoke search the train and go to Chubu Centrair Airport.
Meet with AIESECers for a final farewell.
Board the plane at 10:30 or something and leave for Germany.
Sleep during the flight so the 12,5 hours of flight dont become that painful.
Arrive Germany at 15:30 local time and search for my family who hopefully pick me up

The last days draw near, and I am busier than ever.
Meeting friends for the last time, preparing farewell presents, getting official stuff done, packing, finishing up work, and so on and on and on…

Happy New Year 2009!!!

. Happy new year everybody! I hope you had a nice party and/or a good start into 2009! I certainly did ! =)

The week between christmas and NewYear I was traveling around. First we went two days skiing for Nagano (Olympic place!), and then I went on to celebrate New Year in Tokyo with Nell.

One of the best times I had in Japan yet, even if my feet hurt like crazy now

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hello and Merry Christmas from Japan!
I hope everybody can enjoy these days and relax from the stressful last year

Special thanks for everybody who wrote a card or send a packet!

I certainly was enjoying our small party, having was cooking a delicious turkey and I had a fun christmas eve with my hostfamily.

Coming up:

=2 Days of skiing in Hakuba (Nagano – Olympic area)
==We are going to take a nightbus to Hakuba, arrive in the morning, go skiing until the evening, have 1 night in one of the hotels , skii one more day, take the nightbus back. Last time skiing for me was, like…. 6 years ago, lets see what I remember (I just hope I come home without a broken leg ). Currently I am preparing by loading my mp3-player with “Guano Apes-Lord of the boards” and “Guano Apes-Big in Japan”

=4 Days of Tokyo
==Yes, Tokyo again We’ll be back from skiing on Sunday, on Monday morning I am off to Tokyo with the Shinkansen. Monday evening will be the release-part of the new album of one of my favourite bands (capsule, website with their music). So ill be going there monday evening, hope to get a ticket and plan to make party until tuesday early morning when the first trams go.
Then meeting up with a friend of mine(Nell, yay), and finally, we will celebrate japanese new year together

Yup, busy,  but this time its the good time of busy!

Recent happenings

Hey everybody!

I am not dead, just busy busy busy. At the moment its the good kind of busy, meeting with friends, going out and time passing by far too fast.

Here is a movied from my walk , these annoying advertisement cars go around from time to time, bringing me to killing mood. Especially when I want to sleep.

Besides that,  I recently did a presentation for a university. Michi from AIESEC made contact between a professor and me and he asked me to talk about myself and my experiences in Japan.
The presentation was awesome, had a japanese style party afterwards and such.
As soon as I get the pictures (Hello Michi ) I will post another album

Next week I will be busy again, the next 7 days I have something planned on every evening.

Update from Japan :-)

Heres a small quick update

Everything is fine. I am very busy at the moment. Meeting a lot with friends. Writing university report. Preparing a presentation for a university seminar.
So while I dont have lots of time for myself I am enjoying myself very much!

Finally: Release of my first game!!!

Admitted, it’s “only” the free Lite version. I hope that translates to the paid version as well. We will see =)

Tokyo again

Yep, another visit in Tokyo. This is already half a week or something ago, but recently I had to fight with something like a salmonellosis, followed by a cold >_<

Well, the main reason for going to Tokyo this time was the TGS (Tokyo Game Show). I guess its comparable to E3, PAX, or the Leipzig Gameshow (whats that name again?)

Besides just wanting to see what a mess like this is like my company also had a booth and presented their new game “Melody of Emotion”. Of course a must-see =)

The second reason was that I finally had the chance to see one of my favourite bands, Capsule, live in Tokyo. They had a concert in “Club Asia” in Shibuya, so I went to check it out.

Tokyo: Day 2

Considering the last night lasted very long we did not do too much this day

We decided we would go and see Roppongi Hills together, a huge architectonical masterpiece.
It lies in its namegiving district “Roppongi”, known for its bars where most of the foreigners hang out.
